National Partnerships

On 29 November 2008 the Council of Australian Government's (COAG) agreed to a new National Education Agreement underpinned by a National Schools Specific Purpose Payment and complemented by three new 'Smarter Schools' National Partnership Agreements. The three National Partnerships are for Low Socio-Economic Status (SES) School Communities, Improving Teacher Quality, and Literacy and Numeracy. An additional National Partnership - Youth Attainment and Transitions - has been designed to include educational attainment and successful transitions for all young people.

South Australia has developed State Implementation Plans through the efforts of the three schooling sectors.

  • Communities Making a Difference (Low SES School Communities)
  • Literacy and Numeracy
  • Improving Teacher Quality
  • Youth Attainment and Transitions.
