Data Required from Schools
Languages Survey
Each year the Commonwealth requests information regarding the number of students enrolled in languages programs in independent schools, by year level, gender and mode of delivery.
This information is used for the preparation of the Annual National Report on Schooling in Australia (ANR).
This data is collected in Term 1 each year.
Asian Languages and Studies Contacts
Each year schools are asked to nominate a contact person(s) for Studies of Asia across the curriculum. One of the roles of a contact person is to disseminate information to all relevant personnel at the school.
A Studies of Asia contact person should be a teacher who is keen to introduce or expand opportunities for students at the school to undertake studies of the countries, people and cultures of Asia, particularly in the areas of English, The Arts, Society and Environment.
