Description:

For Primary & Curriculum Leaders & Foundation to Year 7 Teachers who have completed the pre-requisite course/s Learning Design within the Context of the Australian Curriculum and/or Moderation: Leading Quality Assessment.

This workshop builds on the learning undertaken in the course/s Learning Design within the Context of the Australian Curriculum and Moderation: Leading Quality Assessment in 2016 and 2017. Participation in one or both of these prior series of workshops is essential.

An essential skill as a designer of learning, teaching and assessment is to create quality tasks that:

  • are purposeful
  •  motivate student engagement
  •  engage students cognitively and developmentally
  •  foster intellectual growth
  •  have an equitable entry point.

This practical workshop engages school leaders and teachers in a process whereby participants transform an existing task into a new quality learning experience. Participants are requested to bring one or more existing tasks to the session.
