Consolidation of Commonwealth Anti-Discrimination Laws
The Australian Government is intending to consolidate Federal anti-discrimination law and released a DIscussion Paper in September 2011, which raised a number of questions and issues around the existing framework. The AISSA provided a response to the Discussion Paper outlining the concerns of the SA Independent school sector.

New Education and Early Childhood Services Legislation
New legislation came into effect on 1 January 2012, which has major implications for all schools. The AISSA will soon be providing further information to schools on the legislation.
